A Committed Catholic Community

A Vital and Committed Catholic Community.

Mercedes College aims to extend and work with parents as the prime Faith educators of their children. Our environment of living Faith values prayer and reflection and provides a Religious Education Curriculum to provide meaning in students' lives. The goal of creating a Faith-filled Catholic community is focused around the person of Jesus and His Church. Religion is an integrated aspect of school life, with daily prayer and regular liturgies. All students have the opportunity to attend Mass, and links with parishes ensure that students are prepared for the sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation.

The religious life of the College community and the commitment to Christian service are also evident in community service programs and student-led groups such as the St Vincent de Paul Society, Mercy Justice Group and Amnesty International.
