Outdoor Education

There is a co-ordinated camping and outdoor education program designed to give students a variety of outdoor experiences, and to build skills of responsibility, organisation and teamwork.

In Year 5 students attend a three day camp in the second week of the school year. In the Middle School, there are camps for students in Years 6 & 7, with organised activities. In Year 8, there is an Aquatics Camp for students, to assist with the orientation of new students. In Year 9, students undertake a Bush Walk, in order to develop outdoor skills. In Year 10, students undertake a choice of activities, including adventure training, mountain bike riding and kayaking. The STEP program includes outdoor activities, such as rock climbing, scuba diving and the Mimili Trek.

At Year 11, Outdoor Education is offered as A SACE subject.
